How Counselling can help Children and Young People

Counselling offers children and young people with the opportunity to have a safe place to talk about their feelings, and to say things that they don't feel like they can tell other people.

Counselling is one way of getting the support to help children and young people cope easier with any issues that they might be experiencing.

It is confidential and the counsellor won’t make judgements about you or even offer advice.

The counsellor will help you talk about how you feel and work with you to develop ways to cope and to discover your own solutions to any problems so that you can feel more like yourself.
